Ionic Silver
The scientific definition of an ion is an atom that has acquired an electric charge through the loss of an electron. An ion is a group of atoms that has a charge of either positive or negative. All minerals or anything metallic (like a belt buckle) is considered to be ionic because they all have a charge of either positive or negative.
The silver content in ionic silver consists of both silver ions and silver particles, typically with 90% ionic and 10% particles. Electrolysis is used to produce ionic silver. The majority of silver content in this type of silver is dissolved rather than metallic and it can be often described as a silver solution. Ionic Silver can also be labelled as monatomic silver or silver hydrosol.
It is typically clear like water, or has a slight yellow tint. Because silver ions do not absorb visible light, they appear as clear and colourless liquids.
